DMCA & Copyright Policy
PQR News respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects the same in return. This page explains how to notify us if you believe material on pqrnews.com infringes your copyright, and how we handle such notices. It reflects the framework of the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), which we follow as a matter of good practice.
Our approach to copyright
We create our own journalism and license or credit third-party material where it is used. If you own rights in content that appears on the site without proper authorization, you can ask us to remove or disable access to it by sending a valid notice, as described below.
Please only submit a notice for material you genuinely own or are authorized to act for. Misrepresenting that content is infringing can carry legal consequences for the person making the claim.
Submitting a takedown notice
To be effective, your notice should be in writing and include enough information for us to act on it. Please provide the following:
- Your name and contact details, and your relationship to the copyrighted work.
- A clear description of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
- The exact URL or URLs on PQR News where the material appears, so we can locate it.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Send your notice to legal@pqrnews.com with “DMCA Notice” in the subject line. Incomplete notices may delay our response.
How we respond
When we receive a valid and complete notice, we will review it and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the material in question. We may also notify the person who posted or is associated with the content, so they have the opportunity to respond.
We handle each claim on its merits. Some uses of copyrighted material — such as brief quotation, commentary, or reporting — may be permitted under fair use or similar principles, and we take that into account.
Counter-notices
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, or that the use was authorized or lawful, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. A counter-notice should identify the material and its former location, include your contact details and signature, and state, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed in error.
Once we receive a proper counter-notice, we may restore the material unless the original complainant pursues the matter through the appropriate legal channels. We are not able to give legal advice about whether to file a notice or counter-notice.
Repeat infringement and contact
We may limit or end access for anyone who repeatedly infringes the rights of others. This copyright process works alongside our Terms of Service, which set out the wider rules for using the site.
