Mechanism of Reverse Pulse filters

You may have heard about the filters for distinct areas. We use a distinct type of filter that can be made of cloth, paper, or fiberglass. People widely use cotton filter paper, polyester filter cloth, or other material. For a long time, filter cloth is an essential part of the filtration process.

People have found the filtration cloth convenient and affordable for the fresh air. Bag filters can trap the dust and restrict it to blow with the airflow. Baghouses use the cylindrical shape filter bags for purifying the air.

Fabric filter bags are capable of soaking the impurities and dust particles efficiently. Although, you may also find the pleated filters, cartridge filters, and ceramic material filters at different application/ industrial/commercial areas.

When the gases are released, some dust particles also travel with the gas streams. By installing the fabric bag filers in such places you can purify the air quality. When the gas stream will transit to bag filters, fresh air will blow out from the other side.

While you are installing a Fiberglass filter bag in your surroundings, please maintain the cleanliness, check the condition of the bag filters otherwise dustballs will form on the filter blower. Reverse air filters can quickly resolve this problem.

Reverse Pulse filters assembled using three components:

  • Flip flop timing device
  • Pressurized Reverse pulse valve and tube
  • Dust collector

While we turn on the reverse pulse valve, the pressure will encounter inside the tube that keeps the air blow of compressed fresh air. The streams of compressed air will transit through the filter’s opposite side that will be noticed at intervals by the flipflop timing component associated with this filter.

As high pressure is generated by the reverse pulse filter valve, here you will notice the quick flow of clean and dry compressed air in the reverse direction. As we know, dust cake gets formed at the gateway of filters when the high-pressurized air blows in a reversed direction, the dust cake trashes into the dust collector bags using the airlock and other disposable techniques.

With these reverse pulse filters, the cleaning mechanism does not affect, and the airflow and pressure stay the same with the same acceleration mode. For different filtration cloth material, the air pressure and velocity ratio are distinct. A cloth ratio to air may be varied depending on the size of the bag, humidity, cloth material, waste material, etc.

If air to ratio gets an increase, it also made the changes in filter media, gas acceleration at the baghouse entrance, and also the velocity on all sides of the baghouse.

There are many new rules introduced for air quality improvement and environment enhancement. As few filter fabrics are not capable of operating high pressurize and acidic environments. Because of such rules, and environmental specifications, the Reverse Pulse cleaning mechanism is an efficient way to remove dust particles and impurities from the environment.

If you are away from high pressurized and acidic areas and want to maintain inside air-quality then fiberglass filter, cotton filter paper are the better alternatives.
