American puppeteer Kevin Clash, 52-year-old, who is best known for Voice of Elmo for Sesame Street, currently serves as Sesame Street Muppet Captain and co-executive producer. He has taken leave of absence from the Sesame Street show in the wake of charges that he had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old boy. The Baltimore-born Kevin Clash has denied the charges.

From TMZ report, "The 23-year-old accuser says the two began a sexual relationship seven years ago, when he was 16 and Clash, 45. Clash has acknowledged he had a relationship with the young man." The Baltimore-born Kevin Clash has denied the charges, He said that 'I had a relationship with [the accuser]. It was between two consenting adults and I am deeply saddened that he is trying to make it into something it was not.'
