Former MLB pitcher Pascual Perez was found dead in his bedroom in Bajos de Haina, Dominican Republic on November 1, 2012 (Thursday). The 55-year-old Former All-Star Pitcher, who played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Atlanta Braves, Montreal Expos, and New York Yankees. He has been killed during a robbery at his home. According to Spanish language newspapers reported that Perez had received his MLB pension payment on Wednesday (Oct 31), which seems like a possible motive to the robbery and attack.

According to the Caribbean country police reports that several individuals attacked Perez inside his home, He had been struck in the head but the cause of death has not yet been released. No suspects are in custody.
