The 83-yea-rold Actor Ed Asner (Edward David Asner) was rushed to hospital in Gary, Indiana on March 12, 2013. Former president of the Screen Actors Guild was live performing his one-man play, “FDR” in Gary, IN, while he experienced difficulty speaking. After He was taken by ambulance from the Marquette Pavilion. FDR sees Asner portraying former US President Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

According to SunTimes report: "The one-man show “FDR,” in which Asner portrays Franklin Delano Roosevelt, started about 45 minutes late, and Asner struggled with his lines as soon as the performance began. Backstage crew members intervened, and Asner spoke briefly, before emergency medical personnel arrived and walked Asner off the stage about 15 minutes after the show began." FDR sees Asner portraying former US President Franklin Delano Roosevelt
